Yes, privacy and security are our top priorities. Your documents are encrypted and only accessible to you until you choose to share a verification link. We comply with FERPA, GDPR, and other educational privacy regulations. We never use your content to train AI models or share it with third parties without your explicit permission.
Currently, you need to write your document directly in ProvenText to capture the writing process metrics. However, you can export your completed document in various formats (DOCX, PDF, etc.) for submission through your LMS. We're working on integrations with popular LMS platforms and word processors for future releases.
ProvenText doesn't prevent you from using research or reference materials. It simply tracks what content is manually typed versus copy-pasted.
